BEAM REACH ADVENTURES

is what happens when a decades-old dream meets reality.

We’re Molly, John, Wyatt, Hudson, and Bear — a family of four and a goldendoodle who set out in the spring of 2019 in an effort to sail around the world. We sold the house, the cars — all the things — and, on May 4th, 2019 waved goodbye to land-life to hit the high seas for a few years as we attempted to circumnavigate the globe.

For two and a half years, we traveled aboard our 2000 Voyage Mayotte 500, Ruby Vi, from Annapolis, Maryland, down the east coast to Charleston, South Carolina, and onward to The Bahamas, Jamaica, Panama, through the Panama Canal, Costa Rica, and Pacific Mexico.

In early 2021, COVID border closures dashed our French Polynesia dreams for the season. With the outlook for 2022 not looking much better (and the ready-for-adulthood age of our teenage sons), we made the tough call to relocate our adventures abroad to land rather than wait for the South Pacific to open back up.
