If truth's to be told I've not much to discuss. So then, why the post? What's all the fuss?
Three same-ol' weeks passed in the blink of an eye I really don't want to write - not gonna lie.
I'd rather eat salad right outta the bowl - serving spoon in-hand. You know how I roll.
But a website without posts is damn near a crime, so I'll battle my lazy - only this time in rhyme.
Aboard Ruby Vi, things are getting a bit weird - we're now nine weeks at anchor and our hull has a beard.
The weather is trending toward less desirable norms - Hot and muggy all morning precedes afternoon storms.
Our days are the same though now we are getting ready for Panama while constantly sweating.
Slowly working through boat chores while grasping at sanity and watching the world try to salvage humanity.
A few silver linings we've discovered of late: Hudson likes baking pumpkin scones and spice cake;
Wyatt's discovered SAT prep online - he's obsessed with his progress (a development we find divine).
Our time in Jamaica's finally starting to wain. Here's hoping our momentum we'll begin to regain.
Six hundred miles with no looking back Jamaica to Panama on a reaching port tack.
We only need now for Panama to say yes When Ruby rolls into port and her crew is a mess.
So be on the lookout for the Rubes under sail and cross your fingers and toes for no lightening or hail.
Panama's calling I can almost see the sloth that will stare at me kindly while I drink coffee with froth.
We're holding on strong, despite brains that are hazy. The Boat Dream's still kickin' amidst all of this crazy.
If there's one thing I learned binging Into the Night: even when it seems hard, you should stay up and fight.
So we're paddling along through this pandemic tide - and chalking the lows up to "part of the ride."
We hope you are healthy - your spirits not too deflated - by everything everywhere COVID-related.
Cheers to so-far surviving all our stay-at-home orders. Cheers to rations and ice cubes and re-opening borders.
There's a chance that my next post might not be as lame. Nah - who am I kidding... They're all mostly the same.

Dear Pennells and Madame Poet Laureate,
Tonight is a great Friday evening to receive an ode from Jamaica. Thanks. 😊 I love being able to vicariously share your adventures. It’s a bit like being a ghost – I get glimpses into your lives but you can’t see me. (My hair isn’t quite ponytail length yet and I am so grateful to have this beautiful corner of the Lowcountry in which to socially distance.) When you set sail, know I will be checking on your progress several times during the day. That is a very cool feature of all your electronics. Also, I loved the verse. What a versatile author! On your next leg may you have gentle seas, favorable winds, and a peaceful crossing. Looking forward to the next installment. Be well. ❤️
not at all savy about sailing speak, I do know baseball chatter. Hey batter batter, keep your eye on the ball and swing to the fence!!! Then run your butt fast as you can to the base!
Maybe that may have sailing application. Other words – may the water Gods be with you to calm the seas, and run to Jamaica!’

Impressive rhyme and sending good thoughts for the best 600 mile sail ever. ❤️❤️
I like to imagine Shakespeare is looking down upon you with a fittingly poetic mix of pride and raging jealousy.
That was awesome.
You are brilliant!! Safe passage to Panama! Can’t wait to hear about your successful journey!
Nice Molly! But if you really want to impress me, make a rap video. 😅🤗
